Energy efficiency is calculated in terms of the energy used per square metre of floor area. The higher the energy rating the more energy efficient the home and the lower the heating bills.

The environmental rating is measured in terms of CO2 emissions and the higher this rating the less impact on the environment.

Potential ratings that could be achieved are also shown.

A range of measures are suggested some low cost, such as fitting low energy light bulbs, increased insulation to lofts, walls and hot water tanks to higher cost measures which could include replacement of central heating boilers with A rated appliances. Other measures such as photo voltaic cells may be listed.

At Absolute Assessments we are always happy to answer any questions or queries on any aspects of the energy performance certificate and the processes required to produce an accurate certificate.
